AV-Industry embraces ILS Intelligent Lecterns during ISE 2007 in Amsterdam

ILS participated for the first time in the Integrated Systems Europe 2007 expo January 30 – February 1, with its family of Intelligent Lecterns. ILS introduced 6 different compact ready-to-go lecterns, giving customers a wide range of choice in intelligent lecterns. Reviewed by the experts in the market, the lectern systems were appreciated for their practicality and ease of use, especially with the Sho-Q presentation software and seminar planner that was announced and demonstrated on all of the lecterns. Booth visitors all had their preferences, demonstrating the need for Audio Visual Resellers to offer such a complete range of solutions.

ILS is a new activity launched to fill a major market void. ILS delivers a choice in lecterns, cost-savings, and promotes local lectern designs with efficient, appliance-like use. “We are establishing a new product category at the ISE,” says Henk de Groot of ILS. “Until now lecterns tended to be big and custom made, we will change that. In line with the AV-IT convergence, we are launching a wide range of lectern hardware and software based on industry standards. ILS offers buyers long term support, upgradeability and improved value. Efficiency of scale will make pricing more attractive.”

In industry guru Gary Kayye’s rAVe newsletter, Editor-in-chief Bob Bisschop wrote: “If you speak in public a lot, you can appreciate the collection: lecterns that automate the queuing of a series of speeches, lecterns that respond via touch screen, lecterns that rise or lower to your preferred height, lecterns that can transform into digital signage…  I hope all the conference centers and hotels get the point and stop dragging out cheap veneer lecterns that can barely fit a PC…the ones that wobble and shake when you lean on them…and the ones that are draped in wires, spider dens of electrical cords.”
